Oriental Holiday Destination *UAE/Dubai*
Welcome to the United Arab Emirates!
We are very pleased to welcome you to the land of sun, sand, sightseeing, and shopping in the Middle East. Each of the seven emirates has its own diverse slice of history and culture to share. Dubai (Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah, Umm al-Quwain) will leave you awestruck with their modern wonders. It is all these and much more that make Dubai a destination of choice for holidaymakers around the globe. Tradition warmly embraces innovation, making the city a unique blend of rich heritage, culture, and luxurious contemporary living. Although the UAE, here with Dubai in the main focus, is renowned for its white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, breathtaking desert scenery, exceptional culinary scene and some of the world’s best shopping, there is so much more! We urge you to dig a little deeper and experience the “real” UAE while exploring Dubai.
Whether you are still in the planning stage or have already arrived, this tour guide has been developed keeping you up to date in mind. It has in-depth information on everything you need to know about the UAE: the best accommodation options; countless attractions – both new and old, what to eat, where to play or party, get a new wardrobe or gifts for the loved ones. It also sheds light on the UAE’s cultural and historical legacies.
In 2020, the Dubai city will host the world’s most prestigious exhibition, the World Expo 2020, drawing the world’s attention to not only the UAE but also the wider region. Dubai will be the first Arab city to host the much-coveted international event. Earlier in 2016, the city opened another concourse at Dubai International – the world’s No. 1 biggest airport, for international passengers – increasing its capacity from 75 million to 90 million passengers annually.
The Airport Maṭār Dubayy al-Duwalī is one of the 140 (and some more) small and large airports for regular aviation service worldwide, that has the compatibility to host the Airbus A380-800.
And furthermore up to 400 airports when adding diversion airports, demonstrating that the Airbus A380-800 is a very easy aircraft to accommodate within airport infrastructure.
Airbus A380-800 vs Boing 737-300
The consensus on the Airbus A380-800 is in. It usually goes like this: Everyone wants to fly direct to their destination, a process the airline industry calls “point-to-point” (= non-stop-flight). Nobody wants to fly to a “hub” (or worse, a “mega-hub”) considering very long distances, run through the airport or cool their heels, then get on the second plane to their destination.
The modern futuristic metropolis of Dubai is famed for its skyscrapers and gleaming mega malls, a world city that stands tall on the international stage. Yet the rush to the future does not mean the past has been forgotten, and a day spent wandering through the town’s historic heart reveals fascinating insights into the city before oil transformed the economy, when Dubai was a fishing and pearl-diving community bustling with traders The Dubai city has its own truly awe-inspiring touch being one of the most exhilarating cities in the world. It dazzles at every step.
This fourth most visited city destination in the world with its fantastic towers and landmarks, luxurious hotels, glamorous malls, and exciting entertainment options is well-talked about and one of the most tourist attraction spots across the globe.
In addition, and whatever your budget and taste are, there are accommodation choices to suit every traveler. Especially budget travelers are also very welcome. We invite you to explore the vibrant and diverse facets of Bubai and hope you enjoy your visit as much as we enjoy sharing them with you.
DUBAI BUDGET TRAVELER INFO:
Designing your perfect holiday is simply the passion to explore the Orient like we all have seen trough Aladins or Alibaba’s eyes. E.g. 1001 Night, the wonderful magic Lamp, the flying carpet, the 40 thieves and many other stories/tales from the “Arabian Night” we or may some of us used to enjoy as children.
For the arts and culture aficionado, there are intriguing art galleries, theatre and drama groups, and regular art fests. Culturally, Dubai is a vital focal point of the Middle East and the wider region. If you are a nature and history enthusiast, the heritage sites, sanctuaries, and natural reserves will captivate you. Intrepid adventurers will find their thrills in our numerous themed parks while those looking for luxury will be spoilt for choice in the royal resorts, exquisite dining spots, and indulgent spas. Modern skyscraper towers near sandy, clean beaches give a total contrast to the visitor’s eye.
